BELFAST SIGN - making our mark

info3421013

Creating positive perceptions via branding of our rapidly growing district is an exciting proposal that Belfast's residents support.

The concept plan is based around the Signage in Belfast, Ireland (where our name comes from due to the origin of our early settlers).

Large BELFAST letters constructed from precast concrete on a concrete elevated base. Painted Bright Yellow is not only in line with the colours used in Ireland but also ties with our Belfast Rugby Football Club colours being Green and Gold (Yellow) with the green portion being the green landscaping in the "empty space" between the letters.

The site is yet to be secured with three possibilities:

a. Corner Johns Rd & Main North Road (opposite the service station).

b. Corner Belfast & Blakes Road (on the swale reserve).

c. Corner Main North Road opposite the 7 Mile Peg where the Christchurch sign is.
